Denver Parks
"A City in a Park" is the overarching vision behind the Game Plan, a strategic Master Plan for Denver’s public open space, including parks, recreational amenities, trails, natural areas, and special use facilities. The plan provides for "green connections" that link parks and civic spaces at neighborhood and community scales; for infill parks and natural areas in currently underserved neighborhoods; for new public and private spaces downtown to strengthen the City's civic core and provide for a growing urban neighborhood; for new parks and trails along existing waterway links; and for a regional system of connections that literally links the mountains to the plains.

The plan provides both a 50-year broad vision for preservation and extension of the City's system legacy, as well as a strategy and tactics for implementation over the next five to 10 years. The Plan is the first adopted Open Space Master Plan since 1929.
