Wenk Associates is a Co-Principal Investigator and research leader for a project that investigates social, cultural and economic factors that explain why some communities are more successful than others at adopting innovative, landscape-based strategies for managing urban stormwater.

The project involves case studies of a sample of 15 communities across the country, including successful and unsuccessful adopters, communities who have a lengthy track record of implementation, and communities that are just starting out. The research has been shaped by the involvement of an Expert Panel of landscape architects, engineers, public officials and others who have a track record in this field. Findings will be disseminated using an innovative, Internet-based "toolbox" geared at elected officials, municipal staff, and the design community.
