In keeping with master plan goals to preserve the natural setting at Sand Creek Park as much as possible, the new Discovery Playground was designed to fit within the natural character of the open space, integrating natural drainage elements, landform, and native vegetation into a playful discovery area that mimics the mature cottonwood forest.
