Nicole Horst

Nicole, President of Wenk Associates since 2020, oversees and often manages most of the firm’s complex park, open space, greenway, and municipal projects. With over 25 years of experience, Nicole develops strategies to push through complicated environmental, political, and community challenges and builds departmental and community consensus to support project goals and outcomes. Nicole aims to make her project processes comfortable and accessible to all project team members, from highly technical experts to the broader community. She brings a passion for place-making and creating enduring spaces that connect people to nature and are respectful to everyone.

Nicole is a professional landscape architect in the States of Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. She holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Iowa State University. Nicole also serves as Wenk’s managing principal. She has served as a jury member for the ULI Americas Awards for Excellence and has presented nationally on a variety of topics related to resilient design.
