Sarah AbuDakar
Landscape Designer
Sarah is passionate about exploring landscape practices that highlight ecological and social benefits, such as closed-loop systems, material reuse, and native plant and animal habitats. Growing up in Cincinnati Ohio as a Palestinian American, she spent much of her childhood outdoors with her grandparents, siblings, and cousins. These experiences fostered a deep understanding of landscapes as spaces of connection and storytelling. She appreciates landscapes not only as places we inhabit but as spaces that foster reciprocal relationships, history, and cultural expression.
Sarah graduated with her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from The Ohio State University. Sarah was recognized as the 2025 LAF National Olmsted Scholar Finalist and the recipient of The Knowlton School’s 2025 Director’s Travel Prize with co-collaborator, Abdul-Azeez Ahmad.
