Wenk Associates led the design team for Aria Denver - a diverse, inter-generational, mixed-income, urban infill neighborhood designed intentionally to create community with a focus on the health of its residents and the surrounding neighborhood.

Wenk Associates served as the landscape architects for this sustainable, mixed-used development in Five Points, Denver. Inspired by the informal nature of the existing site, the landscape seeks to create a social hub for residents by providing community garden plots, social gathering nodes, and modest, flexible lawn spaces for leisure and games. On-site stormwater is managed within the park through a series of inter-connected rain gardens, creating a natural and wild landscape within the context of a dense ‘ultra-green’ urban development.

A great story published in the Daily Commercial News, a Canadian newspaper, on Rhys Duggan of Revesco Properties and his River Mile Project along the South Platte River near downtown Denver. In 2017, Wenk Associates joined a multidisciplinary team to develop the vision for the riverfront development and its public realm. Wenk is currently leading the conceptual design for a terraced edge and promenade along the river.

Bill Wenk, founding principal of Wenk Associates, took part in a panel discussion to deliberate how design through water has been used to bring communities closer and how these plans can inspire future Grand River restoration efforts.

Wenk Associates began working on RiNo Park in 2015 with the master plan, so we are beyond excited to see this much anticipated community amenity begin to take shape!
